About
Born out of the streets of the Bellarine Peninsula and now based in Melbourne, three-piece alternative rock outfit Blondehouse blend elements of grunge and alternative rock with a hint of punk inspiration in their recorded output and electric live shows. Consisting of Charlie McIlvena (lead vocals and guitar), Lachy Demasi (bass and backing vocals) and Marcus Rosman (drums), Blondehouse’s raw emotion, infectious energy and introspective lyricism are held tightly to their chests.
Formed in May 2024, Blondehouse have spent the past year making their mark in Victoria, playing on stages with bands including Good Sniff, Blowers, and Daddy Issues. They are finding their success and reputation through word-of-mouth and a critical love of unabashed rock performance. Blondehouse pride themselves on their honest, laid bare songwriting and pulsating live shows.
After the release of their debut EP ‘Fear of the Unknown’ in December 2024, Blondehouse returned with new music in 2025 with their newest single ‘Make it Cheap’. A self-directed wake-up call accompanied by roaring instrumentation, this new era of music for Blondehouse allowed them to establish themselves as a band that is earnest and hard-working. With more releases lined up for the remainder of 2025 and early 2026, they have set themselves up for success by capturing their energy, creative arrangements and melodic songwriting.
Blondehouse have continued to carve out their position in Melbourne’s music scene, and continue to be unapologetic, full of energy, and truly themselves.
